Colombia - La illusion Filter Roast
We think this superb Colombian coffee shows off its very best attributes as a filter roast.
We have roasted the beans for a shorter development time in the roasting drum and finished at a slightly lower temperature than we would if we were doing an espresso roast. We do this so that the caramelised flavours of an espresso roast are not apparent in the finished cup and instead a white sugar sweet finish is our end goal.
Hitting the sweet spot in the filter roast is crucial for a really superb pour over coffee or perhaps in the cafetière.
